Indian Association of Yoga (IAOY) with its headquarters located in Dehradun, U.K. India, is an international organization engaged in Impregnate and cultivate the academic, therapeutic application and Research of Yoga. So far, the association has set up branches in several states of India, numerous regional Yoga organizations and groups which have enrolled tremendous members are involved in Yoga cultural research, Yoga teaching and training and Yoga industry development etc.

IAOY is entirely dedicated to Proliferate the quality of Education, Therapy and Research in newly emerging area of the Yoga. I A O Y provides a platform to closely and widely connect the world, it holds periodical yoga academic conferences in concert with different Yoga associations and educational organizations acrossthe Globe, in association with Yoga masters from different culture exploring the profound insights of the ancient yoga culture, discussing the development of Yogic health practices, thus collaboratively promoting the Globalization of yoga culture.

IAOY provides registration, affiliation and accreditations to Yoga Institutes across India. It provides registration/memberships to Yoga Instructors/Teachers and also provide the registration of Job Seekers in the area of Yoga. IAOY organizes the Yoga Competitions/championships all over the India and conducts Yoga training Programme for teachers, doctors, corporate persons, police personnel’s, armypersonnel’s, Media persons as well as for other different sectors. IAOY work for the promotion of spiritual activities among people for spiritual up-liftmen. It is also involved in improving physical and mental health care provisions among the population, by means of Yoga, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, as well as allopathic medicine and Psychotherapy.

Therapy

I A O Y is sincerely involve in the wellness of people suffering with Common disorders. Techniques of Yoga helps the aspirant to channelize the harness the cosmic energy for self- Healing. Consequently, it produces peace and positive feelings in the body&mind of the aspirant. which rejuvenates and energizes the body. Development and healing are brought about from within. Regular practice of Asanas, pranayama and meditation can help such diverse ailments such as diabetes, blood pressure, digestive disorders, arthritis, arteriosclerosis, chronic fatigue, asthma, varicose veins and heart conditions. Laboratory tests have proved that yogi’s increased abilities of consciously controlling autonomic or involuntary functions, such as temperature, Heart Rate, Respiratory Rate and blood pressure. Research into the effects of yogic practices on HIV is currently underway with promising results. According to medical scientists, Yoga therapy is successful because of the balance created in the nervous and endocrine systems directly influences all the other systems and organs of the body. Yoga acts both as a curative and preventive therapy. The very essence of Yoga lies in attaining mental peace, improved concentration powers, a relaxed state of living and harmony in relationships. Under the flagship of IAOY, Indian council of Yoga Therapy aims to rediscover the therapeutic aspect of Yoga to rejuvenate the Humanity. With above aims and objective, it provides the therapeutic service to the Hospitals, Health centers and Psycho- clinics and the seekers as well.

Training

In daily life, Yoga helps the person to attain a relaxed state of mind. It provides the aspirant vitality, vigor and zest to carry out his life. All negative blocks in the mind are removed. The body is cleansed of all the impurities and toxins. Inner strength will be enhanced by the practice of yoga. One learns to identify their own inner resources and draw upon the energy needed from their own inner sources. It helps one to increase their awareness, i.e. self-awareness. It helps to attain the attention focus and concentration.

The whole science of yoga has one view in common-to gain health, Inner Strength, to develop excellence in their respective field and attain peace of mind. It also reduces stress, tension in the body and mind, activates the parasympathetic nervous system. With these aims and objective I A O Y conducts Yoga training Programme for teachers, doctors, corporate persons, police personnel’s, army personnel’s, Media persons as well as for other various sectors.

It provides Yoga education to children of all communities irrespective of their race, religion, caste or creed in general and to prepare them to become mature and responsible citizens of the country through all-round physical, intellectual, academic, moral and spiritual development based on valued derived from the life.

Indian Association of Yoga conducts various workshops, Panel discussion, Conferences and Yoga Training Programs for the aspirants, academicians and Executives periodically. It includes various organizations of corporate sector, Academic institutions and Health centers.

IAOY provides individual Yoga training with the help of registered Yoga instructor to the aspirant on their demand in various cities as well.

Research & Publications

In 1920’s very first time in the history Swami Kuvalyananda Ji, the founder of Kaivalyadhama, Lonavala, Maharashtra, India,coined the word Yoga and therapy, which would further became Yoga Therapy, H.H. swami ji seen the importance and usefulness of Yoga therapy for the current scenario of the entire world though he believed that this could be the best way to bring this ancient knowledge in the front line of Health sector of today’s world, however it took a century but now Yoga Therapy has become the most popular alternative therapy across the world due to Swami ji’s tremendous effort to prove the efficacy of Yogic tools scientifically. IAOY believes that it has to be prove scientifically to be established in the today’s modern world of science. We are preparing the foreground and offering an opportunity to prove the Yogic tools statistically and scientifically. In order to promote more Researches in the field Yoga IAOY releases two of International Journals (IJOYAS & IJSC). The more we research the more it would establish. International Journal of Yoga and Allied Science is a well renowned Yoga Research Journal has published numerous of Research article. IJOYAS is an internationally peer reviewed Research Journal. Is has renowned Yoga Professionals in the review committee with a semi-annual frequency. Published since 2012 with ISSN No. International Journal of Science and Consciousness also a well-recognized Peer Reviewed International Research Journal with a Nationwide renowned yoga Professionals and Researchers in the review committee.
